I have a 32/2x Vidoscope anamorphic lens for sale.
I found this lens to be basically the same as the later Kowa Prominar 16d (the smaller one not the 16-H/8-z) a well known performer in these forums.
The lens is in overall good condition considering its' vintage, has some external body wear and some small coating dots on the back element which do not appear to influence image quality whatsoever.
Focusing is slightly stiff, but nothing more, nothing less compared to other anamorphics I have tried in the past (Kowa).
It comes with a box and original documentation, both caps and a silver ring that can be tightened in the back part of the lens.
I use this ring to attach a large clamp to the lens. If you take off the ring a smaller clamp would do.
Clamp is not included in the sale.
The lens focuses down to 1.2m (focusing ring goes from 5ft to infinity). To focus closer you'd need diopters.
I have used the lens on a t2i with 58mm, 85mm and 135mm taking lenses. I guess it should work on the 5dII with lenses longer than 85mm (to cut out vignetting), although I have no 5dmkII, so I cannot but assume. The rear thread is around 39mm.
Asking price for this lens (which apart from the performance, may also have a collector's value) is SOLD. Shipping is signed for with tracking number, and I could mark as "gift" in the customs form to assist with the customs clearance procedure, if this is an issue for you.
As with most of these lenses you have to focus both lenses (taking lens and anamorphic). Not a problem in a controlled environment.
PM with an email for more detailed pictures of the lens.
