I shoot a lot of broadcast commercials with the 100a. In fact 90% of what I shoot ends up on broadcast TV. The reason I bring this up is because I must admit I am a bit confused about 30P.
I shot a commercial today and my plan was to shoot 30p because we were going to slo-mo some of the shots (after reading how great 30p is for this). I read Barry's book where he talks about 30p looking interlaced on an NTSC monitor. So I wussed out and shot 60i (the client didn't want 24p) better safe than sorry.
So did I read wrong? If I shot 30p and these spots went to broadcast would they look bad on TV?
