30P slow motion shutter speeds?

I'm hoping to shoot some 30P footage and slow it down 80%. Does it matter what shutter speed I am using? Are there advantages to shooting at higher shutter speeds? Will the slow motion work with all shutter speeds?

The proper shutter speed to use would be 1/60th. That will give filmlike motion rendition for your "overcranked" 30p clip. You can use other shutter speeds as well, and each will impart a different look (i.e., 1/2000 will make for very stroboscopic motion, 1/30th will make for very blurry motion) but if you want it to look like film-style footage, 1/60 is what you want.
