30P scene files ONLY

[ihatedv]

I figured let's get a thread going about 30P scene files. It seems like everyone here raves about 24p settings (which is cool), but I don't see much about 30P. I asked in a couple of thread about the interchangeability of 24p with 30p scene files, but I never got an answer.

So, you have a cool scene file, post'em here with screen shots..

They will look the same. It only changes looks if you go to 60i

Really? Ok thanks..

Does anyone have any scene file settings for 60i? How do you get the DVX100B to film in the 30i mode? Doing a wedding in less than 2 weeks, and usually shoot in 60i, but was wondering about shooting it in 30i, and what different things would I have to do in editing.

No such thing as 30i. There is 60i, 30p, and 24p.

Pal Dvx only has 25p and 50i...why not 30p also?????

I asked in another thread about scene files for 60i, and I was told just change the progressive setting to off, and it's the same.

The same scene files will work for 60i. The only difference is in the "progressive" setting; just set that to "off" and voila, a 60i scene file.

Because 30p is difficult -- and pretty much useless -- in a 50hz system.
