30p FCP Problem

Hey Guys and Gals. I recently shot a wedding in 30P Squeeze mode and it looked beautiful in the viewfinder. However, when I logged and captured into FCP the footage looked grainy, a little blurred, and worst of all, very interlaced. My capture presets are DV NTSC 48 kHz at 29.97 fps. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Which camera did you use?

I used the DVX 100B.

Try this:
Set sequence settings->Field dominance to none
Then, right click on a 30p clip in the timeline, click item properties, find the field dominance field, click (maybe right-click) and hold, and select none

if it works... do that for EACH clip...


I've only seen this problem when mixing HD/SD or resizing 30p footage... but this usually works.
