30p disappearing act

This has happened several times to me. I set the DVX100B to 30p mode. then film and end up with a 60i shot. I am using the 30p for green screening because it works much better with serious magic ultra 2. I thought maybe I had momentary power drops and the camera reset but thsi last time i am preeety sure that didn't happen. I did however first use a tape that I had already filmed on in 60i. Could that automatically reset the camera to 60i from 30p?

Any thoughts or comments would help.
 
What will switch it back to 60i is not saving your scene file and then turning the camera off/on.

Always save your scene files. :)

In any case, are you certain it's really 60i? 30p is, of course, recorded to tape AS 60i.
