Is this an answer?
Listen, the guy surely have a PAL DVX100-AE, and all the searchs about this in the forum are about NTSC version.

Then, please, if you know tell us when must we use 24p and 24p Advanced?

Thanks in advance!

If you have a PAL DVX, it's a moot point, because the PAL version has only 25p and 50i.  There is no 24p, 24pA, 30p, or 60i on it.

Besides, he’s from Mexico (apparently) – why would he have a DVX100AE?

Re: 30P, 24P, 24P Advanced, When?

Ok.
But I´m from Spain (Europe), and, I swear, I can´t find answer about PAL versions. When must I use 24p and 24p Advanced?

Excuse me, please.

Re: 30P, 24P, 24P Advanced, When?

David Jimmerson already answered your question right before your post ...the PAL version doesnt have 24p or 30p ..it only has 25p and 50i

Re: 30P, 24P, 24P Advanced, When?

Ok, ok...
I go to start again...

Could someone explain me where must I use the F5 Scene or F6 Scene in my PAL version DVX-100AE?

Anyone said that the difference between F5/F6 in PAL is only that F5 is in THICK mode and F6 is in THIN, but I´m sure that there is more differences.

Could you help us, please?

Thank you again, friends!

Re: 30P, 24P, 24P Advanced, When?

There is at least one other difference, the gamma setting is different.

The answer is, you use whichever one you like better. It's not like one is "right" and the other is "wrong", especially in PAL land where there is no pulldown to worry about. The question is really THICK or THIN, and that question's been answered before: THICK for display on an interlaced television, otherwise use THIN.

Thank you Barry!

Thank you Barry!

Really... F5 = F6 except THIN/THICK mode and gamma setting CINE LIKE V/CINE LIKE D

Thanks again!

:-)
