30 Minute Horror/Comedy 'Colore Non Vedenti' Now Online!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to point you in the direction of a 30 minute short film I made using the HVX. We started shooting it last September and only just finally finished it and put it online. It was initially meant to be a 10 minute short but just kept growing over time and ended up being put on the back burner for a short while due to other projects. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it. It was made for about 900 bucks and was basically an exercise for all of us to flex our no-budget filmmaking muscles and get some practice for the next one.

You can see the film, along with commentaries and behind the scenes video diaries, at www.colorenonvedenti.com. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Enjoy!

Wow that looks really good. You definatly have that late 60 early 70's look down perfect. Colors are awsome. You cant even tell its an HVX.

Do you mind if I ask what kind of lighting setup you used, and 35mm adaptor? Did you use apple color?

Looks really professional!

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I too, am curious the lighting setups and specs you shot it under.

Great job!

Thanks for the comments guys!

So there are only two 35mm adapter shots in the film. They're in the opening credit sequence when Tom is playing around with the radios. That's all. I didn't like dealing with the added aggravation.

Regarding the specs: DVCPROHD 720p at 24 frames. That's about it. Everything else was factory settings.

Lighting: I have a 1K and 650 and two cool lights: 1 3 bulb and 1 single bulb. Lots of practical light sources throughout this film as well.

Well I guess that proves your don't have to have a 35mm adaptor to make it look good. Thats why I asked about the lights because you normally need a lot to make it look like that with a 35mm adaptor.

Also, is that opening song an original? Because it's straight 70's horror.
