3 Year Extended Warranty for PMW-EX1 worth getting?

if you're not planning on having your camera insured, then yes, I'd say it's definitely worth it. Otherwise, it depends on your policy I guess.

I hand lengthy conversations with both B&H and NEW (assuming you're talking about the sagemax plan), and you're covered for nearly everything short of the camera being lost/stolen.


How bad would it suck to hold the camera in your hands after long last, then a stray dog grabs at your leg causing you to drop the camera, completely destroying it. Would probably put you into a state of depression if it wasn't covered. Paying less than 10% of the purchase price for peace of mind seems worth it to me.
 
By all means cover you act with good insurance. You only realize how insurance matters when you've lost a camera and have to buy a new one!
 
Anybody know what differences there are between the Sony extended warranty (around $130) and the one that B&H sells which is higher $$, IIRC?
