3 basic GH2 questions- will take you 2 seconds to answer

1. Is time limit/file size no longer an issue? I just read on cinema5d.com that there is not 12 minute clip limit and the op there made it sound as if you could shoot without stopping (until your card was full). Is this correct
2. I know you can always buy adapters to make any lens work, but what brand lens does the GH2 use w/o adapters? Does Panasonic have SLR lenses... what am I missing?
3. The same op discussed that low light and shallower dof will be better on the 60d... is this true?
if so, why?

1. No longer an issue. Memory space=record time
2. they are panasonic micro 4/3 lenses, quite good but no zeiss. very sharp for the most part.
3. 60d will have shallower dof when you have equal lenses , I would say 60d has slight edge in low light if you know how to work the cam.

Judging by the multi aspect nature of both the GH1 and the GH1, the DOF will be only a little different.
As far as time limit is concerned, it was only in European GH1's until the hack came loose. I expect the same for the GH2. At least for the US, I'm glad there's no time limit. That would be extremely annoying. Let me decide how long I want to shoot, not have the camera decide for me. The more freedom I get the better.

no record limit might have just sold me... i can't believe it... why is this not getting more attention (or is it and i am just under a rock).
can we talk lenses real quick... i see the bloom says a 25mm on micro 4/3 is the same a 50mm... can we discuss a good 3 set of lenses for me to look into buying... to give you an idea of my budget when i was sold on the 60d i was going with:
1. tamron 17-50mm 2.8 constant
2. tokina 11-16mm 2.8 constant
3. sigma 30mm 1.4 constant

GH1 didn't have record limit either. AVCHD spec splits the file and then it is gaplessly stitched by your NLE. If you are in a PAL region the camera will have a 30 minute recording limit to avoid taxation related to camcorders.

well i'm a moron... was shooting on a 7d and didn't know we were past the file limit...

if anyone has suggestions on lenses, i am all ears

This is a good thread for lenses: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?216034-Top-5-must-have-lens-for-a-GH1

For a fast wide, the Panasonic 20mm 1.7 pancake has great reviews, and it's a m4/3 lens ~$325

Some of the Micro 4/3 zooms are nice too, though they're a bit slower than some might like.

Canon FD's (with adapter) are a great value. Manual focus and aperture.

I'd spend a few minutes browsing the thread, and you should get a pretty good idea. Hope that helps.
