2nd zoom speed... not. moving?

Got my 100b yesterday. Everything works great... except the second zoom speed (middle one) isn't zooming. I can bet it's some little setting or switch or compatability with a certain frame rate. Anyone know?

You'll be far better off if you read the manual and Barry's Bible. To start with, all the menu settings anl all buttons are described there, let alone which way you should point the camera.
