2nd hand EX1 - drum hour advice

Hey chaps,

I've the opportunity to purchase a 2nd hand ex1 from a production company near. I haven't had a chance to look at the camera yet, but I'm told it is as new, has been used on one project, and has 72 hours on it.

The price is solid, essentially 25% off the cost of a new EX1.

Would you please let me know if you think this is a good deal? If the camera wasn't solid state then I'd be concerned about the tape heads etc, but this would be my first solid state camera, so I don't know how the normal advice on 2nd hand equipment applies.

To reiterate - 72 hours usage, described as 'mint', 25% off the new price.

Cheers lads!

72 hours should be enough to get past 'infant mortality' type failures. Although I would hope that the warranty were transferrable. However, if there are no problems of the nature that most of us have discovered with some EX1s and if you could verify camera performance, that would be a good deal.
