2nd channel audio not working for shoot today.

anyone else had this issue? I was filming some interviews today and had a wireless hooked up in my first channel, and the 2nd channel was the in camera mic, but for some reason during these interviews there was no levels showing on my camera....i didn't have headphones so was unable to check. funny thing was, once i unplugged my wireless mic in channel 1, the 2nd channel started to show levels again.
 
I've never had that happen, but you should always wear headphones- meters show you how much audio you're getting but not the quality of sound.
You could get hiss, hum or distortion while still showing a good level.
Always best to monitor.
 
ye i duno what to say about that prob...luckily u got the audio from the wireless as thats more important, and better than the cam mic.
 
it' turned out alright, but the meter wasn't showing anything when i was filming. all is well in kansas again.
