Do we have any info. on how many units are allotted for the second batch, and when we'd have one in our hands if we ordered in the next week or so?

Just got this today from Abel Cine in NY: (BTW this is my FIRST post on DVXuser... but I've been a stalker for a while)

Thank you for your AF100 order with Abel Cine Tech. We appreciate your business and want to keep you as well informed as possible.

We have just heard from Panasonic that there have been delays in manufacturing the camera. As a result, we don't expect to receive our next AF100's until approximately the week of the January 17th.

We will continue to seek accurate shipping information from Panasonic and its distributors, and we will update you the moment we know more.

Please do not hesitate to call me if I can be of any assistance.

I ordered on Dec 30th and B&H told me yesterday that their unofficial estimate is 2 - 3 weeks, at the mercy of Panasonic. I took that to mean I might have a camera by the end of January.
