Hi guys,
Pleased to join this varicam forum. I've bought an LT to bring with me on my next film as B or C cam, I really like the v-log of this camera and it seems like a very sturdy camera as well (which is of equally high importance to me as well IQ). I've been playing around a bit with the various codecs and I wanted to hear your thoughts in here. Do you find a difference in the quality between AVC Intra vs. Prores? For some reason while shooting Prores 444XQ it seemed to me there was difference in the motion cadence. It seemed sharper or a little harder or little more strobey on the moves than AVC intra? Any one else experience this?
I'm fine shooting AVC Intra and most probably will be in 4K as well, but obviously the good old Prores codec is a little easier to work with straight away. Not going to be shooting raw.
Cheers
Marcel
