2be or not2be dvx ntsc in pal country

i have a dvx100 NTSC in PAL country am i doomed with nothing but trouble. dvx to be used to make films on premiere pro, any advice would be fantastic

I am sure Premiere Pro has the ability to do good conversion of your final project from NTSC to PAL.

Create a new NTSC Project. Import your clips.
Finish your editing/effects/transitions etc.

When you are satisfied, go to Export - Movie (or similar) and between the template options for the Exported clip, choose PAL.

Premiere Pro will save your work as DV AVI - PAL. (or whatever codec you choose).

After you have done this, you NEED A PAL DV CAMCORDER if you want to transfer your finished product from your Computer to MiniDV Tape (or whatever format you choose).

Try with a couple of seconds of NTSC clip and convert to PAL. If you are satisfied with the results - that's it!

thanks for your reply. sorry to question u but are you sure this works? i only ask because it has never been mentioned before
 
I've never seen an editing system truly convert from one format to another. In this case you're changing frame rates, resolution and color space. Certainly don't expect the quality of this to compete with services that do thsi conversion.
