26mm Macro Switar and GH1 Mystery

I recently purchased a hacked GH1, and I also picked up a Switar Macro 26 mm 1.1 lens.
I got the c mount to micro 4/3 adapter. Everything worked fine I was getting familiar and then...... the lens would not focus past 3-4 feet? Macro was fine, but past :(:(3 feet the barrel bottomed out. The barrel indicated that it was @ infinity? I have tried tightening everything with no change. I must admit I am perplexed. For 24 hours I could focus to infinity and beyond but no more. Any thoughts?
 
This is a common problem with cheap m4/3 adapters. While they may mount properly on the GH1, they fail to position the C-mount lens accurately enough to obtain focus at infinity. When buying an adapter off ebay, look for one that guarantees infinity focus and has a conscientious return policy.
