As in PAL-compatible? With sound?
You can shoot 25fps in 720p mode using variable frame rates, but it won't be perfectly PAL-compatible and it won't record sound if you use the PN mode. If you use the 720p mode in DVCPRO-HD, it'll record sound, but it still won't be exactly 25.000 fps.
You can get your HPX300 upgraded to an HPX301 by sending it in to the Panasonic factory service center in NJ; I think it costs $800 and it will add full PAL compatibility.

We are lucky in the UK that we get NTSC as std with our PAL 301 camera's.

Is it easier to go from 24 to 25 or 30 to 25? Im trying to figure how I can convert in FCP

It's for a client in Europe who just told me a few hours ago that they needed everything shot in PAL 25fps tomorrow. HURRAY!!!

Definitely easier to go from 24 to 25. 30 to 25 is a nightmare.
