25 frames per second

Im am going to buy a dvx pal model as i live in australia. You have the choice of 2 different frame rates. 50i of 25 proressive. Does this mean you cannot get the film look as film camera's capture at 24 frames per second.

Any info would be appreciated.

25P will look just as much like film as the NTSC's 24P does.

In Europe much of the film that's shot for television is shot at 25fps, which would match the DVX/PAL's 25P frame rate.
