24pAdv in Final Cut

Hope everyone is having a killer day!

I'm new to the game, so I'm eating up any tid-bits of advice you guys can muster.

After going through these forums, I've started shooting 24pAdv @ 1/48 Squeeze. I've imported it into FCP, and I must say, it looks great! Thank you.

But I've noticed that there are no black bars on the playback, and I can't seem to view my timeline in full screen.

I've used the easy setup menu to ensure that it understands this is 24pAdv footage.

Are there any tips you can give me on using these shooting settings in FCP? Thank you, thank you, thank you!

FCP will widescreen the footage in the preview window for you, it wont place black bars, it will adjust the way the footage is situated in order to avoid this. in simpler terms, it doesnt place black bars to mae it conform to a 4:3 preview window, it simply makes the footage smaller to fit the entire clip in the window. if u want to see it full at 100% size, click the tab that has a number in it, like 43%, and scroll down and click on 100%.
