24pa Audio Drift Problem! Please Help!

I am shooting a film on my DVX-100b in 24pa. We captured the footage into Final Cut using the advanced pulldown preset. When we watched through the footage, we noticed that the audio drifted over the course of the hour long clip. It starts off ok, bu then by the end of the tape, the audio is about 15 frames ahead of the image. This is the first time I have used 24pa mode, so hopefully there is some simple thing that I missed. If anyone could help, I would really apprecicate it.

Thanks

You might ask in the FCP forum. I'm a relative newbie to FCP, and the only thing I can think of is that it might be an incorrect setting for drop frame timecode. Or maybe it's a 24 fps vs. 23.98 fps issue.

I tried both 24 and 23.98 frame rates for the timeline and the problem persisted. I looked at the captured files in a quicktime window however and the footage was fine. Does anyone else have any other ideas!

That quicktime oddity sounds like a synch issue that I had, but in my case the audio was wildly out of synch. I had captured with advanced pulldown removal, but FCP saw a timecode break and was convinced the clip was 29.97. I exported to Cinema Tools, and told it to do advanced pulldown. It said, "Are you crazy??? This is already 23.98!". But that was enough to convince FCP that it was 23.98.

I don't see how that would add up to only 15 frames out of synch over an hour of footage, though.
