I know this is a talked over topic, and I've been reading many posts. The problem is most are talking about FCP, Cinema Tools (or whatever), Adobe, etc.
I'm using Avid XPress Pro to edit a doc that was shot mostly at 24pn - not advanced. I read one post and it sounds like I should edit in a 29.97 project. Read another and it sounds like 23.976. I'm going crazy.
The DP shot a small amount at 29.97 in the camera, but she said most of it was shot 24pN.
If I edit at 29.97 will I lose quality when going to DVD? Would a 23.976p project with the 2:3:2:3 pulldown in Avid produce a better looking "progressive" DVD? I just don't want to lose any possible quality.
