24p reverse telecine

I just finished putting my reel together and it can be seen here at www.philly-productions.com

I had 24pn material that I wanted to mix with 24pa, so what I did was a reverse telecine, using Cinema Tools, removing the 2:3:2:3 pulldown pattern from the 24pn footage. Then I edited it all on a 23.98 timeline. What I found was that the 24pn material with the reverse telecine looked way smoother and clearer than the orignal 24pn footage. I am not sure of any explanation for this, but I liked the results. I even reversed telecined a whole capture folder for one project that was shot in 24pn and reconnected the media onto a 23.98 timeline to make it a 24p edit and this project looks a lot better now.

I thought I would just share this with all of you, but I am sure many of you guys no this process already.
