24P question

Just got the DVX100 and stepping into 24p world. This may be an incredibly stupid question but here goes....

When I try to shoot with 24P it looks terrible. There is this horrible slow motion feel that I have never seen in a movie. Even the clips I see on this site shot in 24P do not have this....the question....what am i doing wrong?

Is this normal? I do understand that the progressive scan will cause the blur but it is more than i think it should be....Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if you have ever read this article but you should check it out. It does a great job of explaining 24p as well as ways to work with it.

Can you provide us with a clip?

It sounds as if you may have the shutter all slowed down (inducing blur or streaking?)

Turn it off (Default).
