24P or 60P

My camera arrives today...so I have zip experience with it...just curious for those shooters who are producing a cinematic product in post....with the FS100, do you prefer shooting in 60P and drop it on a 24P timeline, or just shoot 24P in the camera?

60p realtime is only 28 mbit while 24p is 24 mbit. Of course, you don´t need to double the datarate when doubling the framerate but....I find it insufficent.

I don't really think shooting 60p and dropping it into a 24p make it any more cinematic. It just makes it slow motion. A huge majority of movies are shot at 24fps, and they're plenty cinematic.

So basically, if you want slow motion, then shoot 60fps and drop it into a 24fps timeline. If you want it real time, shoot at 24fps.

With that said, lots of the B-Roll I've shot in the past was shot in 30 fps and dropped into a 24 fps timeline. It gives it a slight slow motion feel which looks nice, but is not full blown slow motion like 60fps.
