Just curious as to which mode you were all using on a day to day basis (of course may make you change it to one or the other), but which do you prefer? I can make a case for either.
I shoot for broadcast in 30p most of the time. This gives a nice filmic look at 29.97. No cinema tools required and edits easy. For the web or personal projects mostly 24p. So I guess both.
Depends entirely -- entirely -- on what you want the footage to look like. 30p is not 24p and 24p is not 30p. They're different. Pick the one you think is most appropriate.
It requires skills and practice to shoot 24p. If you have a lot of high motion, or some scene you will change into slow motion, 24p would not be a good choice.
