I just have a big confusion, between 24p and 30p,, for what i know both are progresive frames.
so if i gona work on the ntsc world, and i want to keep the cine look and will be also good to have more movment information, i guess 30p will be good, but do i loose that film look, also will be more complicated to work in post,,, what s simpler 24p or 30p to work with.

If i edit in a 23,xxx fps timeline or if i work in 29,xxx timeline, there is one better for 24p or 30p or is the same,, 29,xxfps will run faster than 23,xx fps so 23,xx fps will run slower and i will see the footage run kind of slowmotion.

I know its confusing, but i think as a proyector runing at 24p something you shoot at 30p, must look a bit slower.

so will be good shoot in 30p work in a timline at 23,xx fps and put it into DvD, or if is 30p i should edit at 29,xx fps,, or should i forget everthing and just shoot at24p work with 23,xx fps, if i want to have the lovely film look,

any comment i would apreciated

Either is fine for NTSC. It's all about how you want it to look.

and i want to keep the cine look

24p does it the best.

Not if you want to mimic the look of cinematic film. More movement information will destroy the look.

i guess 30p will be good, but do i loose that film look

It will not look as much like film. It'll look somewhat film-like, but not as much as 24p does.

also will be more complicated to work in post,,, what s simpler 24p or 30p to work with.

Depends on what you're doing. But for the most part, it's exactly the same. The only difference is that with some editing applications, you have to capture 24p in a special way.

If i edit in a 23,xxx fps timeline or if i work in 29,xxx timeline, there is one better for 24p or 30p or is the same

Generally, you should edit on a timeline which matches the timebase of your footage -- 23.976p (24p) footage on a 23.976 timeline; 29.97p (30p) on a 29.97 timeline.

29,xxfps will run faster than 23,xx fps so 23,xx fps will run slower and i will see the footage run kind of slowmotion.

No. One second of time in 24p is the same as one second in time in 30p. If you watch either one, it'll be in real time.

I know its confusing, but i think as a proyector runing at 24p something you shoot at 30p, must look a bit slower.

Yes, if you project footage shot at 30 fps at a speed of 24 fps, it will be 20% slower than real time.

so will be good shoot in 30p work in a timline at 23,xx fps

No. You never want to do that, unless what you want to use it for slow motion.

or if is 30p i should edit at 29,xx fps,,

Yes.

or should i forget everthing and just shoot at24p work with 23,xx fps, if i want to have the lovely film look,

This is best if you want the film look.
