24P NTSC to PAL

I've been sifting through various threads in regards to this topic, but couldn't find a clear and concise answer.

I'm shooting on 24P with a NTSC Panasonic DVX, and with Panasonic Mini-DV tapes.

I need to convert the footage for a production house in Italy, which uses PAL.

Do I need to convert the footage, or can I just send them my tapes?

Also, are Mini-DV tapes universal, or do I need to buy a different tape stock?

Ask them what they want. Maybe THEY can convert your stuff and only the parts that they need.
DV-Tapes are universal but backup your stuff! Sometimes $hit happened... ;-)

I converted 24p NTSC footage by removing the pulldown, resizing and conforming everything to 25p. It runs 4% faster but the quality is amazing. Much better than converting 60i with pulldown to 50i PAL.
