24p Frame Rate Blunder

Hi all-

I have a big problem- I shot footage using the Advanced 24p on the DVX100 (setting 6), however, during the shoot, the camera man changed it to the regular 24p setting by accident (setting 5). So when I bring it into FCP, the bad footage is at 29.97 fps, and the good footage at 23.97 fps. My timeline is 23.97, and this footage is critical to my project, but of course if I drop the 29 fps footage into the timeline it needs to be rendered and then is all jumpy, if I bring it in at 23 fps when capturing, it does the same thing. I don't know what to do, I feel like I have tried everything, and this could end up costing me thousands of dollars. Help! And thanks in advance.

Wow, thanks. That never even occurred to me. I've never used Cinema tools before- could you point me in the right direction of how I might go about doing that? Thanks again!

Unfortunately, I haven't used it either since I always shoot 24pA or just edit 24p in a 29.97fps timeline. There are plenty of others on this board who have used it, and I think it's pretty self-explanatory so I'm sure you'll find an answer. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.
