24p footage, 30fps timeline???

Hello all,
Once again in over my head. Today, we discovered that our timeline, which is housing only 24p footage, has 30fps... anybody have any idea how this happened, or if it will cause us any problems when we do our online edit, or sound editing or send it out for our special effects?
The project was a 720/23.97 project. The footage is 720/24p, it came off P2s thru the Media Tool, so there was no choice for import settings. When we checked the footage in the P2 viewer, it says Frame Rate is 23.97, but it says the Video Codec is DV100_720/59.94p....
I'm very confused.
Thanks so much!
Cheers,
~Se.

720p is a 60 frame format that is driven by 30fps timecode and houses 2:3 pulldown. It is the most complex of all the formats to really define. Similar to NTSC when working 23.976, the timecode of the START column is really 30fps. Same for 720p/23.976. The codec is DVCPRO HD which as I said, a 720p/59.94 format.

I had a similar panick once but I don't think it's an issue. The numbers game gives me a head-ache but, as my understanding goes, if you created a 720p24p project and shot 24pN, then you'll be good. If you were really working on a 30p timeline in the way you're thinking then all your footage would look sped up.
