I needed to render a native 24P mpeg2 and was looking for a 24p bitrate calculator. couldnt find one on line. anyone know where i can find one, i can find the regular ones. but not the 24p version.

If I am reading your question correctly, you are asking about a 12 frame GOP (24 fps material) versus a 15 frame GOP (30 fps material). In my experience, the net savings of the shorter GOP (and frame repeat flags) is just about exactly what one would expect, or about 20%.

ok so its a linear decrease in data. cool.

i was just wondering if there was a significant difference the way it worked.

good old fashioned algebra, and solving for X. thanks.
