am i missing something? my camera doesnt seem to auto focus very well while in 24p mode. do i have a setting wrong or is that how its supposed to be? thanks
Which is why they disabled it in the DVX100 "classic" camera, because they figured people would complain about it. But so many people complained about the lack of it, that they re-enabled it in the 100A.
So you have to take it as what it is... at 24P the autofocus system gets information only 40% as often as it would in 60i, so it's much slower to respond. Which is why, as Ptpiz says, it's called "focus assist" rather than true autofocus.
