24p and 30p on same tape?

Basically what I'm asking is, can you switch between formats all on one tape (24p and 30p or 24pa and 30p) and if you can, what do you need to be concerned about when importing into FCP? Do you have to be careful when logging, knowing there are two different formats on one tape? Do you need to be aware of where the switch from format to format occurs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You know, if you read, you will learn and become more educated in other areas pertaining to DV as well.

Along the lines of "If you give a man a fish..."

I'm not sure but from what I read I think you can put 60i-30p and 24p but not 24pa on one tape. You're software will figure out the rest. Just label it, for yourself so you know whats what. If I'm wrong please correct me.

You can freely intermix modes; the only question is if your particular editing software will work properly with it. Vegas would have no problem with understanding any of the modes on the same tape.

can someone put a more concise answer then a multi paragraph article...?
Sure. Yes. However-

oh no wait a minute that would be crossing over into non-conciseville.

im goign to go ahead and assume that final cut pro will be able to work with all formats easily?

what would happen if you captured one clip but in the clip the camera mode switched from lets say 60i - 30p?
