edit: problem solved, if i just export progressive it comes out just fine.
i searched in advanced and couldnt find anything on this particular problem. The problem that is occurring is that im getting some weird interlacing with 24p anamorphic footage in fcp (24pa, 60i, and 30p are all fine in anamorphic). i shot 24p and squeeze on my dvx captured it ntsc-dv anamorphic.
settings
i found a couple ways around this problem but im not satisfied with any of them, either i can do a regular 3:2 timeline and distort the aspect ratio. Check the anamorphic box, set the pixel aspect ratio to square, and leave as 3:2 (but then i get a weird ratio and it looks squooshed). Check the anamorphic box, set the pixel aspect ratio to square, and set the frame size to 4:3.
What am i doing wrong or which of these should i choose and why does this only happen with regular 24p.
