Hi, I had just won a DVX100B on wednsday in a video festival that I was in, and I've been playing around with it a lot. It is such an amazing camera. Anyways, I was wondering what the difference is between 24p and 24p advance. If anybody could answer this question, I would really appreciate it, thanks.

Congratulations you lucky dog.

It's been explained many times on this forum, simply search for the terms.

24pa (advanced) is used when you want to edit in 24fps (23.98) timeline. It's faster and easier for editing software sicne it only has to drop a frame every 5 frames. No deinterlacing and recompression of frames (more time, slightly lower quaility) 24pa has to have pulldown removal applied to look right.

24p is for when you want the look of 24fps but want to edit in a normal 29.97 timeline.
You can convert to 23.98 clip for 23.98 editing but it may take more steps.

so if i were to shoot in 24pa and edit it in premiere, how would i go about making it look right, or where can i find out how to?

In premiere you start a new project and select the Panasonic 24fps preset. When capturing the pulldown will be automatiically removed.
