24p, 30p or 60i for HPX 500 shoot

I am shooting a movie short in HD where most of the footage will be on green screen and then filtered through ToonIt. The end product will be for the web and DVD. If it goes beyond that, it's an unexpected bonus. Which would be the best frame rate to pursue?

Keep in mind that a higher frame rate and/or shutter speed will facilitate a cleaner key as the lines will be more defined due to less motion blur, so worth making this point clear to the client too.

720p60 will favor the DVD results and the web material will look really good as well, but they will have a "video" look due to the fast framerate.

1080p30 will give you better resolution for the greenscreen work, will look very good on the web but the DVD might have a little jutter upon camera movement.

1080p24, good resolution for the key, although as stated, slower shutter speed will induce slight motion blur. More filmic look of the framerate. Will look fine on the web, DVD can be hit or miss with 24p as I have heard reports all over the spectrum.

So what is more important, film look, smooth motion, DVD results?

I shoot 720p60 when DVD is my target and shoot 1080p30 when the web is my target. Although I do not make movies, I shoot video.

Good luck
