24P & 24PA issue

I tried looking through previous posts here, and somehow heven't found an answer to my issue, which is this:

I'm shooting a short doc on my DVX-100B, but due to an unforseen circumstance, my B-Cam for the upcoming shoot this weekend will probably be a DVX-100. Normally this wouldn't pose much of a problem, except that I shot the first interview in 24PA. My reasoning was that I wanted to have something I could transfer to film easily (just in case).

So now I'm going to have 24P and 24PA footage to edit together. From what I've read on here, all I would have to do is remove the pulldown on the 24PA and I should be able to edit it with the 24P footage in a 29.97 timeline. Is this correct?

And seeing as how I plan to submit to fests, and any given fest requesting a film print being unlikely, would it just be smarter to shoot the rest in 24P?

Thanks,
