24f playback issues

I'm having issues when I playback 24f footage on a HDV timeline.
Footage was shot with the XHA1.
When editing footage, the footage looks all jumpy and jittery.
I've tried all the playback settings to no avail.
But when I step through the footage a frame at a time it's fine.

Any help will be appreciated.

I had this same problem with my Xh-a1 and premier. I attributed it to a ram issue, however when I took 2 gigs of ram out of my computer it would run fine for about 10 minutes then go all jittery. I dont know if its a combination of the 24f with windows and premier but it was some of the worst workflow ever. So I bought a dvx. Sorry I couldnt be of any help. Just thought id share that I had the same problem.
