FS5: 240 FPS buffer write time?

[chappelldigital]

Curious if anyone had any info on how long it takes the FS5 to write the 8 second of 240fps HD buffer to an SD card? Can't seem to find the info anywhere.

Or 16 seconds of 120fps if I remember correctly?

Thanks!

It almost always feels like an eternity

I would assume it takes about the same as on the FS700 unless they've improved things. I actually don't know if it takes slower or faster depending on the speed of the cards...

The fs5 demo I went to the other day I know it was a few minutes for the 800fps clip to write.

32 seconds by my stop watch, feels like 45 minutes if your waiting to shoot something. Totally usable but I did hope (and assume) it would be much faster than the fs700

Thanks for the info, good to know!
