Hey everyone.
Well, recently I made a video (just a class project, so thankfully nothing important)
and I had some problems with it.
I shot on a blue screen at 24p and created 3D environments in AE. My capture card is made by Canopus and only captures at 29.97fps as well as saves the files as Canopus DV AVIs (A compressor that is specifically made by and for canopus)
Well, I have weird rendering problems in AE. When I have it set to 29.97 everything renders fine, but when I move the camera around in the 3D set, the backrounds looks cheap, or too smooth because they're 29.97
So I set my composition settings to 24 fps, and everything looked great... but periodically the videos would get choppy, like they were suddenly at a very low framerate... then after a while they look normal again. The backgrounds still play fine. Sometimes I'll have 3 video clips on screen together, and the choppiness happens at different times on each clip.
Is there anything I could do to fix this problem, or has anyone else experienced similar problems?
I'd love to capture at 24 frames, but I don't have the hardware. Thanks.
