24 (F5) to PAL

You dont mention which NLE you are using ... on Premier Pro 1.5 you can. The scene file setting f6 (24pa) and f5 (24p) are only a reference anyway.. you can set 24p or 24pa to any scene file with any variation of camera settings. My scene files are set for a project Im working on based on test shoots... I have saved different locations to different scene files.. all set under 24pa.. with slight variations... Maybe you knew that about that option anyway.. just thought Id throw it out.... however I cant imagine I would ever use the factory defaults unless I ever sold my camera.

Yes I understand what you say but it is not where i file it, but the pulldown is different from 24p or 24pa. That's the question. If I can convert it to PAL. 24p has 2:3 and 24pa has 2:3:3:2. I was wondering if that makes any difference for converting to PAL.
Thanks

Once you capture the footage to native 23.976 it no longer matters what type of cadence was used to store the original footage on a NTSC tape from the original capture.
