24 and 60 on same tape and timeline

Sorry in advance if question has been asked before and I'm sure it has. Can anyone give any advise/direction about combing 60i and 24p(a) in the same project FCP. I am shooting a wedding this weekend with my 170 and my brand new DVX 100a. Also what about switching from 24 to 60 on the same tape. Is this a bad idea and will it confuse FCP on capture. Was thinking of using 24p stuff for mood shots. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. And by the way. What a great tool this site is...have learned so much. My 170 is great but if the 100 does what everyone says id does, I'll be extremely happy.

Thanks

i wouldnt do a two cam shoot with this combination of cameras.I would say the 170 is better in lowlight, maybe use that for reception footage? Use the dvx as a behind the scenes/getting ready for the wedding kinda look?If you use the camers seperatley in different scenes, might not look bad. All I can tell you is I was a hired cam for a day at a concert,I have a dvx100a. Camera 2 was another dvx.
camera 3 was a pd170. pd170 was backstage, and I hate the way the video came out.The sony stuck out like a sore thumb.

Thanks for the suggestion, I plan to use the 170 for B-roll and the DVX as the main cam. Also didn't state that there will two of us shooting. I know the two cams are different, but I have a few ideas on how to edit thru it. Have a good light for the DVX so I should be able to compensate.

I would personally just shoot the entire thing at 60i even on the DVX... that way at least the motion is the same.

I would also try and get the the DVX to better match the PD170... or vice versa... but that is probably something few people would notice.. (unless they are sticklers for visuals)

... but it's not a problem to combine 24p and 60i in one timeline or on one tape. I do it all the time. Just make sure to use regular 24p and not advanced, since advanced is for editing on a 24p timeline.
