Agreed.

Was this your first directing job? If so you nailed it and I bet you like the Bourne movies. :)

Jp

Yep, first time writting, and directing- quite an experience for me, as I am unfamiliar with both roles.

And you are correct, I do enjoy the Bourne movies and ones like them. :)

finally made it back to your thread...

This was the second short I watched. I followed the Hyper-thread machine and checked out TTN first. So I got blasted with awesome visuals from the first two flicks and your outdoor scenes where second to none good stuff. The story and the acting for me where just ok. The visual style was what kept me watching..

/ps. loved your 235 studios opening
//spyfest?

Thanks, glad you liked it.

I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to enter the next fest or not. Right now I'm focusing on the story, and if I can come up with, or come across a good story, then I think that I'll enter. With this entry I think that the story could have been stronger- and I really want to improve on that for my next entry- hopefully it will be for this next fest, if not, then a future fest for sure.

I wasn't sure i was gonna submit anything to this fest because I had to drop my original story. So I slapped something together on the fly... I don't wanna do the same thing for spy fest....

11th review:

Norm's buddy is how i refer to you amongst myself and peers i choose to accompany my lifes happening (friends).

First comments i have to make, again another that i felt was trying to reach 6 min instead of just being itself.

Footage looked nice but his running and other shots didnt match brightness wise. props are a nice touch. Acting i thought was not good, and only got worse when accents were laid on. It was extremly distracting. Command tab on the mac was not very spy like :p though again effort was noticed on the part of the computer. though not up to what id think the characters im expected to believe who they are would use.

The 'i love you' line was an example of the lacking acting. I couldnt really follow the story, much like the others i felt it didnt have the core essentials to make it worth its being made. The chase was not believable, i find it hard that he would miss especially after calling someone else sloppy. giving up his search so soon was odd.

The story felt weak in general, but the external shots were nice to look at so thats a plus.

thats it.

maybe i should give a disclaimer before i get warned? ( i had to stop reviewing horrorfest because i wasnt being that positive, this is how i feel and i guess ill just post until im stopped again)

Thanks for takign the time to review it - I always prefer honesty, as that is more helpful then a bunch of smoke - positive or negative an honest review is appreciated, so thanks.
