23,944 hours of usage???

so my HMC150 completely threw away all footage i had just filmed an hour before, my files were missing on the card :/ and my meter usage on my camera says 23,944hours!! I bought this camera in August...i know i have not used it that much and have not left it on for 2 months straight. In October my usage operation time read 91 hours.i will post photos if wanted, but wondered if anyone else had this problem or knows a solution.. help!!

This is a problem with the system board. I had mine indicating over 6700 hours.

You have to contact Panasonic and get a RMA. They will change the system board. But they also have to recalibrate the lens. Be sure that it is well done. I had to sent it back 2 times (first time, they completely forgot to recalibrate the lens). It was Panasonic Canada.

do you know exactly how this problem occurs?
Was your camera under warranty? how long did it take for them to ship it back?
what is a RMA?
 
RMA = Return Merchant Authorization
OR
RA = Return Authorization

Basically a case number tied to your specific product so a manufacturer has a paper trail to fix and return your product. Most (99%) companies will not accept the return of a product for repair/warranty without one.
 
It depends on them. I can take 2 weeks or more. You have to ask them when is the right time to send the unit to them.

I don't know how or why it occurs. But if they replace the system board, it must be an issue with these units.
