[TD]Leica Elmarit-M 21mm/2.8, serial number 3518479, E60 filter size. $1150.00, includes USPS insured shipping.
The lens comes with a generic front cap, a 21mm viewfinder, proper Leica lens-hood, a UV filter, a Fotodiox Pro Leica to NEX adapter + NEX rear cap. No Leica-mount rear cap.
About the lens: Made in Canada. Works as it should, smooth focusing and stops and half-stop working properly. Cosmetic blemishes on barrel and mount and cap, but no effect on the lens performance.
This is a user lens, not a collector item. The lens is not 6-bit coded.
There are some small whitish marks on a side where the glass is in contact with the barrel. Please look at the picture where this detail is highlighted. This is not a default or defect, it has no effect on the image quality. It is a frequent occurrence for this series of lenses.
About the finder: it seems that the original engraving was removed by a previous owner, and a 21mm was engraved. It does say Germany on the bottom. The lenses are clear and clean, with white translucent frame and parallax correction marking along the upper frame line.
About the filter: the front metal ring was filed by a previous owner (came with the lens when I bought it) probably to give it a low profile. I always kept it on the lens.
Please read the following:
- This is a private sale, and sale is final.
- I will only ship to Continental USA ('lower 48').
- Payment by PayPal only and shipping to the address on file with PayPal.
Thank you for reading.
