2010 Cinematography Reel

Hey all!

I put together a cinematography reel of the stuff I've done recently. Apart from a few clips these were all done on my HMC-150. Some of them I used a homemade 35mm adaptor, but most were just the stock camera.

This is my first actual reel, so if you have any tips on how to improve they would be most appreciated! :D

Thanks!

That's a nice reel. You definitely stuck to your best work, and only your best. Some of the shots are maybe a little long, you could shave a few seconds and make it an even minute, but it's already pretty short so that might not be necessary. Specifically the first shot was great, I just kind of wanted you to cut in on the neck breaking action rather than the preliminary headlocking. That's my only real piece of advice--cut a little closer to the action, whatever that happens to be (sometimes it's camera movement rather than something the actor does).

Thanks! All very good advice, agreed on all points. My original trailer was exactly 60 seconds but a few added clips pushed it over. I'll play around with cutting more with action and see if I can get it back to around that length.
Love it. Left you a comment on Vimeo.
Thanks! :D
