The nominations are out and looks like Mike Meyers love Guru is leading the pack and Uwe Bowl will get a life time acchievement awards...LOL

Do you think those razzies mess with the stars Egos.. I thind them hilarious. Lets hope none of us ever end up on the Razzies.. but then again, if we end up there that means we've arived...? So I guess it will be a good thing.

But it seems like this is the third year straight M.Knight has ended up at the nominations... thoughts.

Well, I like M. Night and have enjoyed almost all of his work and place him on my list of favorite directors. To some on this site that might spell doom for my hopes of a film career but it is the truth.

The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs I have no real problems with. Well, maybe the water stuff in Signs, but it didn't ruin the movie at all for me.

Sure The Happening had some script and acting problems but I still enjoyed it. Lady in the Water had some plotting problems and again the characters didn't work for most audiences. I liked the quirkiness of the whole thing and Paul Giamatti was great to watch. The Village was very good. Not my favorite of his films but still very suspenseful and I felt the characters worked fine. I didn't see the twist coming so maybe that explains why I was able to get into The Village. Many people I've talked to said that the twist being too easy to figure out was what killed the film for them.

As for Night being in the Razzies this much, it is too bad that he has dropped in popularity over the past few years. Whether you like or dislike his films, he'll probably never get a fair shot again due to a large part of the audience and media wanting to crap on his work before it is even released.

I think he should take a break from these big audience movies and make something smaller and much more personal that he could fund himself. Another thing that might help is if he would continue the trend of not using a twist ending. If he must twist it up though, he could downplay it in the marketing of the film, maybe not mentioning it at all.

I think it is very likely that he'll have a big comeback too, like John Travolta did and Mickey Rourke seems to be at the beginning of right now.

Lets hope none of us ever end up on the Razzies.. but then again, if we end up there that means we've arived...? So I guess it will be a good thing.

Personally, I think the Razzies are about the best I can hope for in terms of any awards for my filmmaking aspirations. But who really cares? Uwe Boll gets to do what he loves. I'm sure he makes a hell of a lot more money than a lot of people do. Just because we don't get the star treatment doesn't mean we can't still make a good or decent living by telling stories.

I'm not a fan of M.knight but I don't hate him neither. Out of all his films, I like the Six Sense the best followed by the Village, the rest I really didn't like. But I agree with you, I think it would be best for his career right now if he just takes a break from the big blockbusters and do a nice little Indy film.

I'm a M. Night fan. But The Happening is, no doubt about it, his worst feature movie to date. Terrible acting- this completely destroys the film. That and the very scarse dialogue- the less the actors say, the more powerful their words become. And if the actors are mediocre, well, it makes the dialogue much, much worse.

Those Razzies are stupid and they should get a Razzie for themselves for Worst organisation.

So Uwe Boll got the award for Worst Director and Lifetime Achievement. As cool as Uwe is in Person he wanted to receive his award, but those lame slackers don't even have an Award.

If you really want to make fun of somebody else, you have to do it right.
