2005 Nissan Murano Promotional Video

it was okay. I didn't like the jump cuts in the transitions, just don't look right to me.
the part where the doors are opening you could switch shots on beat.

Very grainy and I think I saw you in the reflection on the bumper (not very professional). If you were to add some light it would look alot better. I give a 4 for creativety. Dope song!!!

About 50% of a car commercial like this is the lighting.

If you can: try top lighting it. A large light shot through a large piece of silk or diffusion is pretty standard.

Definitely saw a mic in the bumper

I definitely saw both you with the camera and a mic in the bumper as you passed the front of the vehicle. I agree that top lighting would improve the look considerably, really make the car shine and show off those curves. Also, even though the exteriors were shot at night (I assume for mood/effect), you should reshoot the interiors in daylight (or with very bright lights). They weren't sharp and crisp, they were a little to soft and blurry.

Just my $0.01 9/10

Hey there, thanks for posting and practice makes perfect! Definitley need some lighting, especially for a car video, either that or shoot it during the day. Saw a couple of flash frames in there as well. Also your moving shots would benefit greatly from a dolly or steady cam, and if those are not available I would limit your moving shots to small movements like you used on the nissan embem on the front, that small movement worked just fine as well as some of the movements on the interior. For your bumper shot, you could use it in small sections edited parallel with some other shots to the music, then you could get that reflection out of there and hide the bumpy movement. I liked your idea with the static shots and the doors opening and closing, but maybe you could take this to another level? With the camera locked down move the car around as well as the doors opening and closing.
You have some good shots in there, I think even with what you have right now, with some really tight editing and a shorter time frame you could have something good.

I agree with the above; grainy, odd cuts, shaky footage.

Also, this isn't DVX footage and shouldn't be in this folder.

Who is this video for? It's a promotional video for who?

I think, like everybody else, the lighting needs to be 100 times better. You are shooting in sunset, which is fine, but it's making your video look like it went through a cheese grater. I suggest setting up a few lights with some diffusion, preferably over the top of the car (so you don't see the reflection of the lights. Also, the house or barn in the background is distracting. You want a promotional video to be all about the product you are shooting, try to get a better location....maybe the car can be out in a field or something.

The sound is good on the video. The music would work better with better editing.

I would shoot it again with either more light or wait till daylight. As for the editing, I think you need to speed the pacing up. To be honest and this is just my opinion but that video didnt move me enough to want to go to the dealership and check it out. I think you need to add some "pizazz" to it.
