Microphone height?

Microphone height?

I'm interested in your J-Rod Twin mount for our EX3 but with our Sennheiser shotgun microphone we need to have it half an inch above the usual height or the dead cat shows on the screen when using wide angle. Do you have any solution to use the J-Rod Twin mount but not have the shotgun mike too low?

Yes-The J-Rod Twin Mount will attach in the mic clamp of the camera, and then a rubber band shock mount is on top of that to hold the mic. It is not only possible to raise the height, but also move the mounting point back 4 inches. I'll attach a photo (the J-Rod in the attached photo only has 1 shoe-they all have 2 shoes now).
There is also the Super Strong Twin for the EX3, which replaces the mic clamp on the camera. Unfortunately for your application it may not be the best solution because the mount has a lower profile than the OEM mic clamp.
