I have shot two music videos for the band 'Tombstone Crow', a heavy metal band hailing from the north of England.
Working with an unsigned band, with no budget other than to secure a suitable shooting venue, I use the opportunity to test out shooting methods and gear, with the shooting time limited to about four hours.
For the first video, we had access to a venue with a stage so I shot 2.35:1 ratio, masking off the shooting area on the GH2 and GH3 screens using a screen protector and marker pens. The venue for the second video was a smaller practice room, so I shot 16:9.
With the second video I also had loan of a GoPro Hero3+ Black, so I used that to spice things up a bit. Both videos make use of cheap chinese speed-boosters, FD and M42 mount. The 'Blue Spot' can be seen once in the first video, otherwise I thought the results were excellent. Lenses used were: Panasonic 20mm 1.7, Canon FD 50mm 1.8, Chinon M42 55mm 1.7, Hoya FD 24mm 2.8, cheap screw on wide angle adapter. A very basic skater dolly was used for some tracking shots. Cameras were handheld, with no rigs used.
The first video 'Soul Of A Sinner', has just won the Wychwood Hobgoblin 'Metal 2 The Masses' Video Upload competition, with the band winning a stage slot at the prestigious Bloodstock Open Air Festival:

The second video features the song 'Dead Earth Walkers':
